Be Selfish
To an extent.
I don’t mean to cut in line to save some time. I mean to be selfish in a way that you should always be improving yourself. You make trillions of microdecisions and I want you to pick the ones that benefit you the most.
If you’re talking to a friend holding you back from making the decision you want to make, stop talking to them.
If you think a friendship is doing more harm than good, end it.
If someone is holding you back, cut them off. Nobody is worth stressing over. People come and go. Move on and find yourself; the world is yours. Life goes on.
What I’m saying is, that you matter the most to yourself. You should be at the number two in the list of your priorities. God should be first.
I believe in what should be best for you and if it means to cut off unnecessary people in your life, I would ask you to cut them off.
Picture a literal chain holding you back as you run towards the goals you set. You run slowly and get tired easily. Other people are going much faster than you in this race. How do you catch up to them? How can you surpass them? These people don’t want you to succeed you are talking, listening, and becoming more like them.
You have so much potential, I can see it. You have a desire to be the best version of yourself. You have ambitious goals that you want to achieve. You clicked on this article for a reason.
These people will not affect you in a few years. Take every chance to acknowledge who is making yourself confident, smart, kind, and modest; and who is making yourself, mean, lazy, and arrogant.
The world needs strong people; who are the best version of themselves. If you want to live a life you will not regret, start cutting these people off. Surround yourself with people like you, or people you want to become. Find who inspires you. Find who supports you. The world needs you.
Be selfish.
If you want to become better, subscribe. The best version of you will say thanks.

Brilliant as always. I struggle with cutting people out who are hindering me rather than helping me, but it's a necessary evil. Great read, keep it up!
